Aug. 22, 2016 : They have a great staff at Hotel Provincial. Very helpful and friendly in everything we needed from the front desk staff, bartenders and bellmen. We felt right at home. Loved the unique furnishings of the room we had. Good location and the parking lot was very secure
Aug. 18, 2016 : Couldn't ask for a better location in the French Quarter--a block or two away from everything, yet just far from all the brouhaha. Charming historical hotel with excellent service and phenomenal view. I opened my shutters every morning to look out onto a gorgeous little street. Next door to a terrific little restaurant and very secure--the gate locks after a certain time. Great stay and good value! Would come again.
Aug. 18, 2016 : My stay was an absolute joy. The staff made my stay extra enjoyable, I felt encompassed by sincerely dedicated personal, I will stay here again and again. The location is fabulous, the ambiance is old New Orleans, the tender of the bar is quintessential New Orleans, I'll be back just to listen to his wonderful stories and remembrances. Love , love love everything about my experience here.
Aug. 15, 2016 : Hotel Provincial was everything you would expect of a NOLA experience! Hotel staff was very accommodating and efficient. We were within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend the Hotel Provincial.
Aug. 15, 2016 : When you close your eyes and imagine New Orleans you are imagining this hotel. The boutique rooms face into a beautiful courtyard with a water fountain. Amazing level of service from all the staff. So friendly and accommodating. Location - couldn't be more perfect. You're right in the heart of the French Quarter. Walking distance to Bourbon Street, and Jackson Square. You can take the trolley anywhere. I can't imagine coming to NOLA and not staying at this hotel.
Aug. 15, 2016 : Great old style hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. They do it right. Rooms are nice sized and comfortable. There are swimming pools and courtyards to chill out in. They have a gated parking area which is locked after 11 pm with an attendant who lets in guests. The Ice House Bar is just off the lobby, which serves free coffee and tea every morning. Next door is Angeline, which serves excellent food (try the boudin and egg on grits with red-eye gravy for breakfast). Just around the corner is Croissant d'Or, perhaps the best patisserie in NOLA. A few blocks away is Frenchmen Street, where you can find a vast number of musical choices in the many clubs and restaurants. Many other excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance.
Aug. 15, 2016 : My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and loved it! The location, staff and history of the hotel gave us a true taste of New Orleans! The room was quaint and had a wonderful courtyard view. The bartender was amazing - had stories of the hotel and New Orleans from a local! Walking to the nearby art galleries, Jackson Square and Bourbon Street was a breeze! We will definitely make this our go to place whenever we are in New Orleans! For dinner you must go to Court of Two Sisters...food was superb with a great atmosphere!
Aug. 10, 2016 : We were there in June and one of our favorite stays ever. Cannot wait to return .
Aug. 10, 2016 : The staff professionalism and courtesy was unremarkable. We had staff book scheduled tours for us during our stay they are very knowledgeable about the many different tours. They were even able to book a tour through a tour company they've never used before. The rooms are clean and inviting. One can tell that they work hard to keep this a top notch hotel. The hotel bar tender was humorous and made you feel welcomed. The larger of the two outdoor pools were clean and free of debris. The valet services were well worth the price. Thanks hotel provincial, for making our stay enjoyable.
Aug. 9, 2016 : My wife had stayed here twice as a child, so we decided to,try it again. It was as charming as ever. Fantastic location. Really comfortable room. The courtyard pools were ideal for hot July days. And, the restaurant was really great for breakfast.
Aug. 9, 2016 : We stayed at the Hotel Provencial for seven days during a recent visit to New Orleans. We absolutely loved our stay there. We loved the old charm of the buildings, the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. We had no complaints. It was extremely hot during our stay, but I have to say, the air conditioning system worked great. We actually had to turn the thermostat up on a couple of occasions. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was very clean and accommodating. The housekeepers did a fantastic job every day. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and we had to wait for about thirty minutes. The staff offered us an upgraded room for our troubles which was very nice of them. As I said earlier, we just loved every staff member we met from the bellman to the bar tender. They were all great. Loved the little hotel bar, the Ice House. Happy hour every day. Note to the hotel management: you have a real gem in Miss Shirley at the front desk. We just loved her sense of humor and friendliness. She's a real asset to your staff.
Aug. 3, 2016 : Love staying here. The staff is great and the hotel is so close to everything. You are blocks from Jackson Square and all of the great restaurants. Irene's is on the corner of the block of the hotel! Lafitte's bar and NOLA Poboy are 3 blocks away. 3 blocks to the french market and the trolleys on the river that can take you to the aquarium and the river walk. Nice bar in the hotel also. This is our go to spot in New Orleans.
Aug. 3, 2016 : I am a frequent visitor to New Orleans and have been staying at this hotel for 29 years! It's a "postcard" of what one pictures in his / her head when thinking of "classic" New Orleans! It's unique ... charming ... beautiful ... clean ... comfortable and the staff is very friendly and accommodating! Also, very important: James at the Ice House Bar makes one of the very best Bloody Marys ... Ever!!! And, David, the Bellman, is always friendly and helpful. When it comes to lodging in the Vieux Carré, you just can't find any better than the Hotel Provincial!
Aug. 2, 2016 : Hotel Provincial was a simply fantastic place to stay during our 6 night vacation in New Orleans this summer. We loved everything about this hotel and would highly recommend it to any of our friends, family or coworkers. The location can't be beat: walking distance to shops and restaurants in the French Quarter and a short walk to Frenchman Street, but located on a quiet street only a block away from the Mississippi River. We stayed in building 5, which backs on to Decatur St. and could hear the live jazz being played in the French Market quietly drifting up to our room by day, but absolute silence by night. The hotel also has a fantastic bar, the Ice House (special thanks to our bartender for keeping us hydrated during happy hour!) The hotel staff also demonstrated a special level of hospitality that makes guests feel so very welcome in this vibrant and unique city.
Aug. 1, 2016 : Upon entering gate we were greeted by the valets and they were so friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and insightful with where to sightsee. Great location to all the great food and shopping!
