Apr. 22, 2015 : We stayed 5 days the beginning of April. A great location just a couple blocks from Jackson Square and Bourbon St, but Chartes St. is a quiet side street. The hotel is actually several buildings and has several small courtyards and a large courtyard. Two outdoor pools that weren't heated and so were really too cold to swim in the beginning of April, though my daughter did a little bit, as did a few other kids. The rooms are decorated in period furniture and were pretty and comfortable. Breakfast is included and was simple but adequate. The staff were very kind and helpful. The best part of the hotel are the charming courtyards and the great location. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again!
Apr. 22, 2015 : Every time we visit New Orleans we stay at the Hotel Provincial. Ideal location, easy car parking, comfortable accommodations, excellent breakfast, and best of all the "great" staff. You could not find a more pleasant and accommodating by veteran personnel like Sherlane and bellman David. As usual we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel.
Apr. 20, 2015 : We stayed at the Hotel Provincial for spring break last week. The hotel was clean, charming and in an excellent location. We could see the Mississippi River from our window and hear the steamboat whistles as the boats went by. The staff was excellent - very friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed the lobby bar and the 2 pools were great! We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!
Apr. 20, 2015 : Excellent accommodations in an old world atmosphere. Bed is very comfortable. Rooms are clean. Entire staff is attentive. Bar is fun. Continental breakfast is just OK but there are lots of options within easy walking distance. for me, this is the best place to stay in the French Quarter. I am a Quarter Rat and FQF is a staycation for us. This is the sixth year we have stayed at Hotel Provincial for FQF. We love it and will be back next year.
Apr. 1, 2015 : Before anyone books a hotel room in the French Quarter, they MUST realize that they will be in a very "vocal" pedestrian neighborhood that has a late-night crowd to it. You surrender ANY right to complain about the street noise if you stay in this neighborhood. Our room was directly on Chartres Street (#217), and although it was noisy until about 1 AM, we were fine with that. You can request a room towards the back of the hotel if you need quiet. Having said that, this location is absolutely perfect if you plan on exploring the French Quarter and having a central base for exploring New Orleans. You are just two blocks from Bourbon Street, and less than three blocks from Jackson Square. The hotel itself is very old-world - and I mean that in the best way. This is NOT a chain hotel - this one feels as it would have many years ago, only with modern conveniences. Plenty of hot water, a comfortable bed, and enough room for two people to move around. The staff was eager to please and offered to take care of all issues. In fact, when we checked out at 11 AM, the "bellboy" (what is the proper word anymore?) offered to call us a cab to arrive at 1 PM to take us to the airport. There was absolutely nothing to complain about - I HIGHLY recommend this hotel, and we will definitely look to stay here again!!
Mar. 30, 2015 : I have stayed at Hotel Provincial several times. I love the quiet location. My most recent stay was the best yet. I wish I had written down the names of a couple of people who really went over and above in service, but I forgot. Our room was WONDERFUL, and we had a great stay.
Mar. 16, 2015 : We heard of the hotel from friends who had stayed there on a previous visit, and they were impressed. This was our first visit and we were also impressed. It has an "old world feel" without being run down. It's actually very beautiful and charming. Fits right into the whole New Orleans experience excellently. The staff was very courteous and helpful and we will return again someday if possible, and will head for the Hotel Provincial. Thanks for a great time!
Mar. 13, 2015 : What a wonderful charming hotel. This place has history! It is walking distance to all the action..the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Very helpful staff. We will definitely stay there next time too!
Mar. 11, 2015 : This was a great hotel - right in the middle of the action in the French Quarter. I look forward to staying there again and will recommend it to others.
Mar. 3, 2015 : Enjoyed our stay in the French Quarter. The rooms were comfortable, continental breakfast included. The hotel was quiet at night, walking distance to everything. We loved the location of the hotel. Will stay at the Hotel Provincial the next time we travel to New Orleans.
Mar. 2, 2015 : Been staying there for years! It's like going home... It's beautiful! Awesome people! You feel safe, comfortable, Never have to worry! The Ice Bar has free continental breakfast & great drinks! It's walking distance from EVERYTHING! You'll never regret staying there!

Feb. 9, 2015 : Hubby and I have stayed at several boutique hotels in the French Quarter over the years, and the Provincial is our all-time favorite! Elegant decor, outstanding staff, beautiful antique furnishings, updated bath fixtures, located near but not amid the noise and activity. An authentic French Quarter experience.
Feb. 9, 2015 : We had one day and night in New Orleans. The Provincial gave us the perfect location. Easy walk to the sights. The onsite parking is convenient. We love historical hotels and this one was lovely. Very clean and comfortable with high quality finishes. I would recommend this to anyone interested in visiting NOLA.
Feb. 3, 2015 : Loved this hotel. I had a room overlooking the interior garden. It was quiet at night, we came for the marathon so this was very important! Perfect location in the French Quarter, just far enough away from the craziness and really close to Frenchman street for live music. Easily walkable to all the sights. Very helpful staff. I will plan to stay again on my next trip!
