Sep. 26, 2016 : My wife and I stayed at Hotel Provincial this week and both of us agreed it was one of the best places we've stayed. The room was nice, the garden and pool area pleasant, and the staff courteous and helpful. We will stay again.
Sep. 26, 2016 : My cousin and I stayed 3 nights and were slightly high maintenance;) We had to move out of our first room due to a technical issue. Brandon, who had already carried our bags in the downpour, helped move us to the new room. Always with a smile, by the way. Then my cousin freaked out, thinking she'd left her jewelry in the original room. Brandon again immediately came and escorted her to the old room. It turned out she'd stuffed it in her purse. He was so sweet and patient during all of this. He is a keeper! And he also gave us a great breakfast recommendation for Belle's Diner. We loved both rooms. One had a view of the pool and the other of the courtyard. They were decorated beautifully and had a fridge and helpful plugs in the bedside lamps.
Sep. 22, 2016 : Lovely stay right in the heart of the Quarter...quiet and serene! We would definitely stay there again. Friendly staff..room's clean. What more can I say...it was perfect and were very, very , very pleased.
Sep. 19, 2016 : So glad we stayed at this charming hotel with very comfortable furnishings. The courtyard was beautiful, peaceful. The service was incredible. Definitely true southern hospitality. The Ice House Bar made the best drinks compared to others. The restaurant Angeline is hands down the best, restaurant in NOLA and we ate at and enjoyed good food at a lot of locations
Sep. 19, 2016 : The hotel was beautiful. It was close to everything, but far enough to have quiet. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend staying here. We spent the small amount of extra money to have a suite and it was worth it. This hotel is also on the haunted history tour.
Sep. 19, 2016 : The hotel bar is a wonderful place to meet with friends! The hotel is lovely and quiet, the beds are wonderful and the staff is exceptional. Check out Croissant D'Or just around the corner for wonderful pastries, coffee and other treats.
Sep. 14, 2016 : We loved our stay at hotel provincial! The staff were so friendly. It's the perfect location, close to absolutely everything. I highly recommend it & hope to stay again one day.
Sep. 13, 2016 : From start to finish a very enjoyable experience. Room was excellent and enjoyed the balcony. Will definitely stay again when we return in April. The Ice bar is a great place to recharge after a day of running
Sep. 12, 2016 : I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. The staff are very good and the location just downriver from Jackson Square, is very convenient. The Riverfront streetcar is also a two minute walk away. For music fans, Frenchmen St. is a 10 minute walk away and Bourbon is less than 5 minutes away. I also like the fact that it is not part of a hotel chain; it has a family-owned feel to it. I also like the idea that many of the staff have been with the hotel for some time. With the hot summer, I made good use of the two pools. There is a Rouses Market just down the street and having a refrigerator in the room means you can stock up on healthy (or not), snacks and cut down on restaurant expenses
Sep. 8, 2016 : Don't know where to begin. The valet staff were all awesome and very knowledgable of the city. The cleaning staff were great and always made sure we had enough toiletries and towels. Did not check out the pools or dine in the restaurant but it seemed very popular amongst the guest. It felt very safe and secure and they always have someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. Will definitely be back!!!
Sep. 8, 2016 : Traveled to NOLA for the Labor Day weekend. This was the second year I have stayed at the Provincial. It's a grand hotel. The staff is wonderful, the location is great and it's worth the little extra you pay to have a great hotel experience in the Quarter.
Sep. 8, 2016 : Love this place. Will never stay anywhere else in New Orleans. Not just a hotel, a hotel with history, personality and maybe a few ghost. The staff are wonderful too. Felt like leaving home when we headed home.
Sep. 7, 2016 : We actually initially picked this hotel for their location and amazing price point. We may had a little hesitation but our expectations were not only met but competent over exceeded. The room was way beyond what one expect and the service staff were all friendly, happy, attentive and hard working. We have to give a specific mention to the most amazing Bellhop/Bellman ever. His name was David and he introduced to true creole, New Orleans culture. We will definitely chose to stay here for our next visit in New Orleans.
Aug. 30, 2016 : We just returned from 3 great nights! The last time we stayed here was over 10 years ago. I am so glad we stayed here again! From the time we checked in until we checked out the staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and the AC worked great! Pool was nice for an afternoon swim! We were close enough to Bourbon Street but far enough away. We loved the proximity to Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde. Ice House Bar was nice for an evening drink before going out for dinner. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting NOLA for a change of pace, New Orleans is more than Bourbon Street!
Aug. 30, 2016 : This hotel scores a perfect 10/10! Historic hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, close to everything but away from the noise and drama of Bourbon St ( just 2 small blocks)... Easy ( even in the August heat ) walking distance to Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde, French Market, Riverfront ( Steamboat Natchez ) and Bourbon Street. Our room was in the 300 block, and we adored the historic feel and details - squeaky wooden floors overhead and all! Huge comfortable King bed, big room, fully equipped bathroom, luxurious soft fluffy towels! Bar fridge in room, great air conditioning and fan, appreciate the extractor fan in the bathroom too!Perfect southern hospitality and service. We utilised the valet ( $27 per night )but left the car parked as easier to walk to everything ( all the tour companies are within a short stroll too! )... Two swimming pools and a bar onsite, also a lovely restaurant attached to the hotel. A million dining options for all budgets just a short stroll away. A little street noise early Sunday morning, but this is to be expected as the crowds disperse from Bourbon St. Highly recommend for those who want to be close to all the action but still appreciate a sound nights sleep. Hotel is reputed to be haunted ( 500 block was a hospital during the civil war ) but, nothing to be seen or felt (unfortunately!! )... We loved this hotel - would return in a heartbeat
