Mar. 29, 2016 : We have been staying at this hotel every time we have come to New Orleans for the past 14 years and it is as wonderful today as it was the first time. My husband and I just celebrated out 18th wedding anniversary and his birthday here. The room was clean, well appointed and the king size bed was so comfortable half the time we didn't want to get out of bed. The staff was excellent and always very helpful. The location cant be beat. It is only a few blocks to Bourbon Street and Jackson square, and right around the corner from the french market. The street is quiet at night but still safe to walk down even at 2 am. We will be coming back again this Christmas and already plan to stay here,
Mar. 28, 2016 : We arrived a little early, but we were able to go ahead and check in. We stayed in Room 324, which was a deluxe suite. We loved it! Building 300 had it's own little courtyard and was just full of charm. The entire hotel was charming and had so much character and history! The hotel is so close to EVERYTHING in the French Quarters! One block from the French Market. Two blocks from Cafe DuMonde and Jackson square! The staff was extremely courteous. We will stay there for all of our visits from here on out!
Mar. 23, 2016 : Very nice place to stay! Clean and friendly staff. The style of the hotel was a nice mix of old world and updated charm. Very good location with easy walking distance to all the major attractions. Will definitely stay again next time I visit!
Mar. 21, 2016 : We had a wonderful 3-Day stay at Hotel Provincial. The room was lovely, the location was perfect, and we were completely satisfied at all levels. New Orleans hotels are not inexpensive so it's nice to receive top notch accommodations when paying a premium.
Mar. 21, 2016 : This hotel boasted unique architecture and stunning views - our room was absolutely incredible. It had a bedroom and another bed in a loft upstairs, both with updated bathrooms and modern conveniences. Located in the French Quarter, the hotel was a short walk to Bourbon Street and just a few blocks from the river and the famous Cafe du Monde. It's rumored to be haunted, be we saw nothing. Overall beautiful hotel and fabulous experience
Mar. 16, 2016 : Walking distance to all of the Quarter. On site parking and restaurant (VERY GOOD) . I'm from New Orleans, and when I go back to visit this is were I stay . Great staff and rooms. I will be back in May. SEE Y'all then.
Mar. 15, 2016 : Cute, quaint and very French Quarter. Very good location. Rooms were clean and beds were firm and comfortable. Staff was great, especially Etienne and DeLindsey (not sure I spelled that right). I would definitely stay here again.
Mar. 15, 2016 : The hotel is a gracious old building within walking distance of the action in the French Quarter. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Excellent beds. On site parking is a plus and you could only gain admittance through a guarded gate. An excellent restaurant on site as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Mar. 11, 2016 : Charming and clean. The location was perfect for us being close to the river and Decatur Street and Frenchmen St as well. A couple short blocks from Jackson Square and Royal St too. We walked everywhere and had a blast. It was great coming back to a clean secure place to sleep and get ready for the next day. The bartender was the nicest guy and poured a fair drink as well. The staff was friendly and diligent. We loved it and will be coming back.
Mar. 10, 2016 : Room was comfortable clean nice cozy. Very happy. Front desk was great, location was great. We stayed above the restaurant next to the steps. Our room was one room and a bathroom it was perfect, wife loved it, bed and pillows are comfortable, furniture, refrig and safe was perfect. Would stay here again.
Mar. 10, 2016 : Loved our weekend getaway to New Orleans. Would stay here again, 10 minutes to walk to Jazz, the craziness of Bourbon Street, the waterfront. Very close to Jackson Square and the French Market.
Mar. 10, 2016 : Very clean, excellent service from extremely friendly employees, convenient to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. Bedding and towels top-notch. Will definitely go back!
Mar. 4, 2016 : This hotel is far different from other commercial hotels I've stayed at in New Orleans before. We were in walking distance to Jackson Square and all the other nearby attractions. The court yard was adorable! And the rooms and doors had old style southern charm. The pool was also beautiful. I would definitely come back to this hotel when visiting Nola again.
Mar. 1, 2016 : My husband suggested New Orleans for a February trip. Hotel Provincial was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and engaging upon check in and throughout our stay. When we inquired one day about the walk to a cemetery tour we were taking they produced a map, showed us the best way to get there, and nicely answered our questions. The central location of the hotel in the French Quarter was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere, although we did take the car for some short trips outside the city. We found the in and out process with the car very quick and easy; I imagine a bit more time might be needed during the busier season. As noted on the hotel website, the hotel is comprised of several different buildings. We stayed in a King room with a shared balcony. The balcony was accessed through a very large window; we found this charming and spent one pleasant warm (it may have been unseasonably warm for this time of year or have seemed so to us New Hampshirites) morning having breakfast, reading, and seeing the street below wake up. One thought for light sleepers: the city of New Orleans cleans the streets early in the morning; at least I noticed this several times during our stay so if you like sleeping in you might consider a room away from the street. We had a wonderful time during our stay in New Orleans and thank Hotel Provincial for their hospitality. If we ever return to New Orleans I would book our stay there again.
Feb. 29, 2016 : Beautiful hotel!! We plan to go back and stay for at least a week. Too much to see and do! We loved this hotel and New Orleans!!! You have to try Coops if you want great Cajun food. Bourbon St is only 2 blocks away from hotel.
