Sep. 28, 2015 : Loved the location, the room was charming, and the bar downstairs was an excellent reprieve from the chaos of Bourbon Street!
Sep. 28, 2015 : I loved this hotel. I try to stay in different hotels around the french quarter whenever I go and I enjoyed this one more than many others I've spent more money on. The rooms are clean, not too small, not too big, with very comfy beds and pillows. I liked the layout of the hotel because of easy access to the main pool which is also not too big and not too small and perfect for a quiet solo night swim. The location is great for access to Bourbon and Frenchman street and actually on my prefered side of the quarter. The only thing that keeps me from a better overall score is the $30 parking charge (and no continental breakfast ;-) ), but the valet parking staff and hotel staff are wonderful and it's worth it to know your car is safe. The price is great for this sweet little gem.
Sep. 23, 2015 : I normally stay away from the quarter I like to stay closer to city park This place was great quiet and the staff was so nice and laid back. Every time we went out for the evening the staff asked if we needed any help getting anywhere. Loved it.
Sep. 23, 2015 : I was surprised with a Mother's Day trip earlier this year and this is where we stayed. Our suite was clean and very comfortable. My daughter really enjoyed the pool. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the location is very convenient to attractions. We are going to visit NOLA this weekend and will be staying at this beautiful hotel again.
Sep. 22, 2015 : Traveling alone as a female I wanted to feel safe & looked after. What a nice experience. Whenever I entered the lobby I was greated and assisted with all my needs even before asking. The grounds are lovely, especially the courtyard. The bed was comfortable, service staff competent & all was very clean. I will definately return.
Sep. 21, 2015 : Enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Provincial! Staff was professional, friendly and assisted us in every way. It was a pleasure after a day of walking and sightseeing to return to our hotel room where we could relax outside in a lively courtyard. We will definitely return to the Provincial in the future.
Sep. 17, 2015 : Having done some research for our first trip to New Orleans we chose this hotel for its location and we were not wrong. Just around the corner from Decatur and all its cafes bars and shops including the wonderful Cafe du Monde for coffee and beignets. Also just steps from the French market. The hotel is housed in several old buildings which adds charm to its atmosphere. The block we stayed in was once a 19th century military hospital run by Ursuline nuns whose convent is in the next street. We loved the history and architecture. Having said that the room was clean and comfortable with all modern amenities. Don't miss happy hour in the bar with the best bartenders in town. You have to try the Hurricane cocktail! I would definitely recommend this hotel. We had a great stay.
Sep. 17, 2015 : One of my favorite stays anywhere. Terrific staff (the valet crew was amazing ), clean/comfortable room that was uniquely decorated and a nice central location for Frenchman's, Burbon Street and the market.
Sep. 17, 2015 : I love to stay at the Provincial. It is close enough to fun, shopping, and restaurants. And far enough to enjoy the quiet. For me there is no other place I would rather stay. It is exactly what you would expect staying in the French Quarter. A beautiful courtyard with a fountain, places to sit outside and the bar makes a great Bloody Mary.
Sep. 14, 2015 : I loved this hotel. The location in the French Quarter is perfect since it's close to everything but is on a quiet residential street. The historic buildings are full of charm and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the beautiful courtyard and secluded outdoor swimming pool. Our room was beautiful and full of antique decor. It really made the trip exceptional by staying in a historic building that really compliments the neighborhood and the city. So glad we found this hotel and thank you Hotel Provincial for a fantastic stay. We will definitely see you again in the future!
Sep. 8, 2015 : All the employees were friendly. We quite enjoyed talking with the bartender Etienne (sp?) and the drinks were very good at the quaint bar. The rooms were clean and the furniture looked new. Beds were the most comfortable of all the places we stayed on this visit.
Sep. 8, 2015 : What a wonderful little hotel! I had no idea what to expect from Hotel Provincial and was very happy. Upon check in the staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived a bit early and our room wasn't quite ready so we sat in the bar and had a drink. Once our room was ready we made our way out back to find our room. It was nice, clean and comfortable. The furniture looked brand new and the comforter was fresh and looked brand new too. We stayed for 3 nights and loved the location of the hotel. We were just a short walk from Café Du Monde (breakfast every morning), French Market, Bourbon St and everything else the French Quarter has to offer, without the noise that comes from all the party spots on Bourbon Street. I was incredibly sad when we had to leave as I fell in complete love with NOLA. I can't wait to return and we WILL be staying at Hotel Provincial.
Sep. 3, 2015 : We had an excellent experience here all around. The hotel was elegant, the rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for walking to the French Quarter, The World War II Museum, and the water front. The breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel was delicious and the wait staff were extremely attentive. Several other reviews have mentioned the high cost of parking, but that appears to be the case across the city. We will definitely be back.
Sep. 3, 2015 : I stayed at the Hotel Provincial the first week of August with my wife and daughter. I have stayed in many hotels in New Orleans and this is by far my favorite. There is something to be said for a family owned business where the staff truly cares about people. The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are nicely furnished and there is on site parking. The location cannot be beat. You are just a few blocks from Frenchman Street and the Jackson Square area. Special thanks to Isaiah the bellman (and all around do everything guy). Isaiah took to time to answer all of our questions about NOLA and the hotel. He is a clever and engaging individual and I have no doubt that he has a bright future ahead of him.
Sep. 3, 2015 : Loved the Hotel Provincial. It was the perfect place to stay in New Orleans...close to the action but 2 blocks away for some much needed quiet time. Our room was a nice size for 4 people and had a nice view of the courtyard and pool. The bar was very good, though we didn't eat at the restaurant. The entire staff was very gracious and helpful. We plan to stay here the next time we are in NOLA and are telling all our friends about it, too!
