Nov. 16, 2015 : My husband and I visited New Orleans for pleasure, and time and again we thanked ourselves for choosing Hotel Provincial. After long days of roaming the city, seeing the sights and experiencing the loud excitement of the French Quarter, we got to retire to the peaceful, quiet elegance of our hotel. We were astounded to find that so much noise from the city's nightlife could fade into such a calm as we would turn onto Rue Chartres and approach our hotel. The staff was friendly, the valet service was irreplaceable, and the room felt as though we were transported back in time. We enjoyed getting a drink from the hotel bar and sitting in the quiet elegance of the hotel courtyard next to the fountain. This hotel truly made us enjoy our stay in New Orleans!
Nov. 12, 2015 : Comfortable and quiet, close enough to everything be convenient but not so close that it's loud or hectic. Great hurricanes they claim to be the best in the quarter and I must concur that is an accurate statement!! Staff was great and the room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
Nov. 9, 2015 : This hotel was fabulous, starting with the staff! Sherlane welcomed us warmly though we were 4 hours early for check in, and called us when room was ready. Terry kindly secured our luggage for us prior to check in, giving us a great overview of the French Quarter, and a wonderful introduction to the room when it was available. Twanda and Dee were so friendly, informative and funny when we met them late one night upon return. The hotel is so charming! Beautiful outdoor space! Location can't be beat! Had a river view and were able to hear the street musicians from our room. Can't wait to return to this hotel and this room!!!
Nov. 8, 2015 : Enjoyed our stay from Sept. 10th thru Sept 15th. Very pleased with overall atmosphere. Great staff. Sharlayne was magnificent as was David. We were promptly accommodated with tours and any type of information needed. The hotel is close to French Quarter and within walking distance of many sights. Trolley not far away .40 for senior citizens otherwise 2.00. Lovely courtyard and bar. The continental breakfast was not available during our stay, but we did have coffee ready in the mornings which I was elected to fetch and bring to room #200. Three ladies on the town. Irene's down the street had superb food. Beautiful beds and pillows, nice sleep. Very quaint. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend it.
Nov. 2, 2015 : We have stayed at many hotels in New Orleans, both big and small. This was the best stay by far! Such a true New Orleans feel! Will definitely be staying here again! Loved the cleanliness of the property and the pool and courtyard was outstanding! Also loved that the car was on the property so we had easy access to it for quick trips like the zoo!
Oct. 26, 2015 : We very much enjoyed your hotel. The location was absolutely perfect, and the staff satisfied all of our requests. We loved the vintage feel, and the ability to have a safe area for our car, which was promptly brought up each time we went out. The Angeline breakfasts were very good, as was the bar, and we would certainly stay at the Provincial on future New Orleans visits.
Oct. 26, 2015 : We have stayed several times at the Hotel Provincial. It is in an excellent location for walking to restaurants and music within the French Quarter. And we love the charm and comfort of the place! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Oct. 26, 2015 : This place is everything I dreamed a hotel should be in the French Quarter. Ambiance, architecture, landscape ,water features. The staff drops whatever they are doing to help in any way. Jerome, Isaiah were my favorites. I loved the location. Just everything, including the weather.. 70's no humidity was perfect.
Oct. 19, 2015 : We've been to NOLA before, first time at the Provincial. Love the location, it is conveniently close to the action but also just far enough away to be peaceful. Great service from Mike at the front desk and from the bartender (fabulous Hurricanes!). Room service was very good and flexible enough to allow us time to sleep in after long evenings. Security was good which made us feel very safe. If we ever drive, I know the parking will be appreciated. The restaurant was also excellent! We were in 324 as I recall and I like the mix of old and the modern shower/sinks. The bed and pillows were better than what we have at home! Thanks.
Oct. 19, 2015 : We really liked the hotel. Great location to get to French Market and Jackson Square!! People were awesome and friendly! We will definitely stay there again. Rooms were great and court yard was very inviting! Near all the restaurants! And not far from Bourbon street.
Oct. 15, 2015 : Visited New Orleans for our 1 year anniversary. Wanted a hotel that was close to all the attractions but not so close that we could here everything. We got the perfect place with Hotel Provincial. Loved the courtyard set up for the entire hotel. My husband fell in love with the bed and bedding so much he is looking for the same exact set online! The bed was super comfortable. The hotel was close enough to amazing food and places. We will definitely be back to this location
Oct. 15, 2015 : This hotel was above and beyond excellent! Sherlane (sp?) at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and welcoming! She helped us book 2 tours, which were both wonderful. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect to walk around the French Quarter. I would definitely stay there again!
Sep. 28, 2015 : We were looking for an agreeable blending of New Orleans tradition and modern comfort: the Hotel Provincial was perfect. The hotel pool was inviting, the patio cool and soothing, and the friendly staff were unfailingly friendly & helpful. A special thanks to concierge Sherlane: You're the tops!
Sep. 28, 2015 : Loved the location, the room was charming, and the bar downstairs was an excellent reprieve from the chaos of Bourbon Street!
Sep. 28, 2015 : I loved this hotel. I try to stay in different hotels around the french quarter whenever I go and I enjoyed this one more than many others I've spent more money on. The rooms are clean, not too small, not too big, with very comfy beds and pillows. I liked the layout of the hotel because of easy access to the main pool which is also not too big and not too small and perfect for a quiet solo night swim. The location is great for access to Bourbon and Frenchman street and actually on my prefered side of the quarter. The only thing that keeps me from a better overall score is the $30 parking charge (and no continental breakfast ;-) ), but the valet parking staff and hotel staff are wonderful and it's worth it to know your car is safe. The price is great for this sweet little gem.
