Nov. 28, 2016 : I loved staying at this hotel for my first-time New Orleans stay! It was charming, had great customer service, and it was so close great eateries and sites!
Nov. 28, 2016 : It's a very clean and pretty Hotel in The french quarter but a nice quiet spot with a lovely courtyard. I highly recommend as well as the staff are fantastic. Family run gem!...
Nov. 23, 2016 : Based on the reviews here, we chose to spend the weekend at Hotel Provincial. Only two blocks from Bourbon Street, about the same to Cafe du Monde and the French Market, and easy walking distance to Frenchmen Street, this place is the perfect base camp for all your needs. While our room was small, it was comfortable, and who goes to New Orleans to hang around in their rooms anyway! Two very cool pools on site, and a quiet comfortable courtyard as well. The staff are exceptional and most friendly. This stay was a large part of how much we enjoyed our visit to the Crescent City. We'll definitely be back.
Nov. 22, 2016 : Felt welcomed from the minute we got out of our car. Hotel is charming and quaint, just like it probably was when it was first built. It's in a very quiet area of the French Quarter. Easy to walk to water front, Bourbon Street, Jazz clubs, Jackson Square, and much more
Nov. 22, 2016 : We love this perfect hotel! Everybody working there was wonderful! We stayed there for years. We love the location the charm and the pool thank you for everything. We appreciated all of the new updating and renovations to the interior as well
Nov. 21, 2016 : The hotel was in easy walking distance to EVERYTHING in and around the French Quarter, but on a relatively quiet location. Our room overlooked the street, and we were "serenaded" by several ghost tour narrators throughout the evening, as well as some noise from revelers on Saturday night (every other night was fine), the only slight blemish on a GREAT stay. Happy hour downstairs: great cocktails!
Nov. 21, 2016 : This hotel was absolutely stunning, romantic shabby chic, beautiful, close everything you can think of
Nov. 18, 2016 : The Hotel Provincial is a true French Quarter old style venue. The rooms are all different, nothing cookie cutter here. The place exudes charm at every turn. From the moment you arrive that old style southern hospitality comfortably, takes you back in history. David the bell hop collects your bags at the entrance and offers " if you need anything just let me know" and in my experience he really means just that. We arrived for our latest visit wth a terminally ill friend who "just wanted to see New Orleans before he died" . Well; we were , as always, greeted by the staff with a sincere "welcome back". And they showed us the mobility scooter we had rented for our friend. They had already found a secure place to park it at night and had plugged in the rechargable battery, and laid fresh blankets on it, compliments of the Hotel, to keep our friend warm as we traversed the French Quarter over the next few days. At the end of our stay I mentioned to David "I haven't figured out how I am going to arrange for the scooter rental Company to retrieve the scooter. David smiled and said leave that to me...don't worry about a thing. The Hotel bar "THE ICE HOUSE BAR" is cozy and staffed by the best storytelling bartenders in the Quarter. The Hotel Provincial IS the REAL French Quarter, authentic in EVERY way.
Nov. 18, 2016 : This is a great place to stay in New Orleans!! Very close to everything you want to see or do in this wonderful city. They park your car and you walk everywhere because the location is perfectly situated in the French Quarter, but you have access to your vehicle anytime, since it's kept right on their grounds and not in a parking garage two blocks away. We've stayed here several times and have already booked it for our next trip.
Nov. 16, 2016 : Hotel Provincial is locally owned for three generations. Personnel tend to make their career in the service industry with the quaint, charming hotel. Located on Chartres, it's walking distance to everything in the quarter without being in a noisy, high traffic area. Rooms are clean, neat and very comfortable. It's the only place we pay to stay in NOLA
Nov. 15, 2016 : Love the character and the quiet location. We have stayed at many properties in NOLA and this is a favorite. The value and location are excellent... Steps from Cafe du Monde, Jackson Square, and Royal Street. Will definitely stay here again.
Nov. 14, 2016 : We love Hotel Provincial! We just visited this past week for the second time. It is in a great location near the french quarter. There are excellent dining and nightlife options. The pillows are so squishy and comfortable! The showers have great water pressure, which is a must! The courtyards are very charming. All the employees are so gracious and kind. The Ice Bar has the best hurricane around! We wouldn't stay anywhere else in NOLA. We will be back!
Nov. 14, 2016 : We stayed at the Provincial in early November for a long weekend with friends that had never been to New Orleans before. We were all very pleased at our choice of hotel, both for the location and the comfort. The staff was very friendly and eager to help in any way. The intimate courtyard was a nice reprieve from the outside world, as well as the pool courtyard. The Ice House bar was enjoyable - the bartender engaging, and did not water down the drinks. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were fortunate enough to have a balcony room that overlooked Decatur St. - fun to relax and watch the street scenes below. Location was ideal. Three short blocks to Café du Monde, and three short blocks to Bourbon St. We will stay at Provincial again when we visit New Orleans next time
Nov. 14, 2016 : We loved our stay at the Provincial. EVERYTHING is done just right as you expect from a First Class hotel. Parking is on site and valet....the huge advantage is you can get to it at any time. People are very kind, knowledgeable about their city and eager to help. We will stay there again.
