Apr. 18, 2016 : We walked all over the French Quarter from the Provincial and loved how close it was to all the restaurants, shops, and sights, but found the courtyards and room to be quiet and peaceful. We plan on staying here again for our next New Orleans trip. The staff was friendly and helpful, the decor classic, and the courtyards peaceful.
Apr. 12, 2016 : The Hotel Provincial is in the perfect location in the French Quarter: Right between Jackson Square and Frenchmen Street (up and down river) and between Cafe Du Monde and Bourbon Street (River side and Lake side). Very quiet in the immediate area of the hotel but walk a few blocks in any direction and you will have a good time. The Ice-House bar on the premises has a good happy hour from 3 to 6 every afternoon. We always stopped there to re-group between afternoon and evening activities. The indoor/outdoor feel of the hotel relieves the sometimes claustrophobic atmosphere of the narrow streets in the French Quarter. We are just returning home from our third stay at this hotel. Each stay was four or five nights. We have always had a great time staying at the Hotel Provincial.
Apr. 11, 2016 : The stay in the Provincial was amazing. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the quarter. Beautiful weather. Room accommodations were great and the stay was lovely. cant wait to go back and will definitely stay at the provincial again!
Apr. 11, 2016 : I have been staying at the Provincial for years and have not been disappointed. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard; just what you would expect staying in the French Quarter. Rooms are outfitted with period pieces. Rooms are clean and I feel safe when staying at this hotel. Highly recommend.
Apr. 5, 2016 : I love this hotel! It's such a gem in the French Quarter. And the hotel staff is exceptional. They've added a little bar since the last time I stayed here and that was perfect as well. Definitely a great value for the price.
Apr. 4, 2016 : Had a very pleasant four nights here in a quieter section of the French Quarter, but close to all attractions. Hotel consists of several 2-story buildings around multiple courtyards. Early 19th century architecture, period décor and furnishings but modern baths and HVAC. We'll be back!
Apr. 4, 2016 : Our trip was great. staff at the hotel was top notch our room was great James at the bar is awesome and made a fine array of classic new orleans cocktails from sazerac to the French 75 and the pimms cup. a fine property I recommend it
Apr. 4, 2016 : An excellent place to stay in a quiet part of the quarter...room over courtyard was beautiful and well furnished...nice bar, ATM (safe)...if you are driving easy access to your car....relatively quiet...personable service from front desk and valets..(thanks Mr. Terry!) rooms have frig...a little more in expensive side if you are there on weekends..free coffee in lobby.....block from French market....I would return!
Mar. 31, 2016 : Arrived late, valet made parking easy (although at a $30/day cost), staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great, in the middle of the Quarter (walking distance to Frenchmen/music). Hotel had historic charm but also a sprinkling of modern amenities. Our room had easy access to a really cool courtyard/fountain area and a pool. Hotel had a very "French Quarter" feel and staff was great.
Mar. 30, 2016 : Very historical, pretty, and clean place to stay. Wonderful friendly staff, also great location. Walking distance to everything. If you are flying in, there would be no reason to rent a car. Jackson square, French Market, Mississippi River, Shops, and some of the best restaurants all with in walking distance.
Mar. 30, 2016 : Just a few minute walk from Bourbon Street but very quiet here. The hotel is nicely furnished and the courtyard and pool are great. Having an on-site bar and helpful desk staff was good as well. We would definitely stay here again!
Mar. 30, 2016 : Our room was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The bartender was out of this world awesome. My husband and I have never had a hurricane before and made sure to sample several while in this great city. The one at this hotel was by far (and surprisingly) the best. Hands down. The hotel is also in a good location. What more could you ask for?
Mar. 30, 2016 : The room was lovely and the atmosphere was great. Quiet even though it was in a bustling part of the French Quarter. The staff were welcoming and made our staff extremely comfortable. The location is amazing, a walk from anything in the french quarter and the hotel has access to valet services which makes it very convenient for road travelers like us.
Mar. 30, 2016 : The hotel was clean, nice & relaxing. The ability of being able to park your car was a big plus!! Everyone of the staff was friendly & very helpful. The restaurant has amazing food!! Definetly a place to return to in the future.
Mar. 29, 2016 : We have been staying at this hotel every time we have come to New Orleans for the past 14 years and it is as wonderful today as it was the first time. My husband and I just celebrated out 18th wedding anniversary and his birthday here. The room was clean, well appointed and the king size bed was so comfortable half the time we didn't want to get out of bed. The staff was excellent and always very helpful. The location cant be beat. It is only a few blocks to Bourbon Street and Jackson square, and right around the corner from the french market. The street is quiet at night but still safe to walk down even at 2 am. We will be coming back again this Christmas and already plan to stay here,
