Sep. 12, 2016 : I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. The staff are very good and the location just downriver from Jackson Square, is very convenient. The Riverfront streetcar is also a two minute walk away. For music fans, Frenchmen St. is a 10 minute walk away and Bourbon is less than 5 minutes away. I also like the fact that it is not part of a hotel chain; it has a family-owned feel to it. I also like the idea that many of the staff have been with the hotel for some time. With the hot summer, I made good use of the two pools. There is a Rouses Market just down the street and having a refrigerator in the room means you can stock up on healthy (or not), snacks and cut down on restaurant expenses

Sep. 8, 2016 : Don't know where to begin. The valet staff were all awesome and very knowledgable of the city. The cleaning staff were great and always made sure we had enough toiletries and towels. Did not check out the pools or dine in the restaurant but it seemed very popular amongst the guest. It felt very safe and secure and they always have someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. Will definitely be back!!!

Sep. 8, 2016 : Traveled to NOLA for the Labor Day weekend. This was the second year I have stayed at the Provincial. It's a grand hotel. The staff is wonderful, the location is great and it's worth the little extra you pay to have a great hotel experience in the Quarter.

Sep. 8, 2016 : Love this place. Will never stay anywhere else in New Orleans. Not just a hotel, a hotel with history, personality and maybe a few ghost. The staff are wonderful too. Felt like leaving home when we headed home.

Sep. 7, 2016 : We actually initially picked this hotel for their location and amazing price point. We may had a little hesitation but our expectations were not only met but competent over exceeded. The room was way beyond what one expect and the service staff were all friendly, happy, attentive and hard working. We have to give a specific mention to the most amazing Bellhop/Bellman ever. His name was David and he introduced to true creole, New Orleans culture. We will definitely chose to stay here for our next visit in New Orleans.

Aug. 30, 2016 : We just returned from 3 great nights! The last time we stayed here was over 10 years ago. I am so glad we stayed here again! From the time we checked in until we checked out the staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and the AC worked great! Pool was nice for an afternoon swim! We were close enough to Bourbon Street but far enough away. We loved the proximity to Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde. Ice House Bar was nice for an evening drink before going out for dinner. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting NOLA for a change of pace, New Orleans is more than Bourbon Street!

Aug. 30, 2016 : This hotel scores a perfect 10/10! Historic hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, close to everything but away from the noise and drama of Bourbon St ( just 2 small blocks)... Easy ( even in the August heat ) walking distance to Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde, French Market, Riverfront ( Steamboat Natchez ) and Bourbon Street. Our room was in the 300 block, and we adored the historic feel and details - squeaky wooden floors overhead and all! Huge comfortable King bed, big room, fully equipped bathroom, luxurious soft fluffy towels! Bar fridge in room, great air conditioning and fan, appreciate the extractor fan in the bathroom too!Perfect southern hospitality and service. We utilised the valet ( $27 per night )but left the car parked as easier to walk to everything ( all the tour companies are within a short stroll too! )... Two swimming pools and a bar onsite, also a lovely restaurant attached to the hotel. A million dining options for all budgets just a short stroll away. A little street noise early Sunday morning, but this is to be expected as the crowds disperse from Bourbon St. Highly recommend for those who want to be close to all the action but still appreciate a sound nights sleep. Hotel is reputed to be haunted ( 500 block was a hospital during the civil war ) but, nothing to be seen or felt (unfortunately!! )... We loved this hotel - would return in a heartbeat

Aug. 22, 2016 : They have a great staff at Hotel Provincial. Very helpful and friendly in everything we needed from the front desk staff, bartenders and bellmen. We felt right at home. Loved the unique furnishings of the room we had. Good location and the parking lot was very secure

Aug. 18, 2016 : Couldn't ask for a better location in the French Quarter--a block or two away from everything, yet just far from all the brouhaha. Charming historical hotel with excellent service and phenomenal view. I opened my shutters every morning to look out onto a gorgeous little street. Next door to a terrific little restaurant and very secure--the gate locks after a certain time. Great stay and good value! Would come again.

Aug. 18, 2016 : My stay was an absolute joy. The staff made my stay extra enjoyable, I felt encompassed by sincerely dedicated personal, I will stay here again and again. The location is fabulous, the ambiance is old New Orleans, the tender of the bar is quintessential New Orleans, I'll be back just to listen to his wonderful stories and remembrances. Love , love love everything about my experience here.

Aug. 15, 2016 : Hotel Provincial was everything you would expect of a NOLA experience! Hotel staff was very accommodating and efficient. We were within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend the Hotel Provincial.

Aug. 15, 2016 : When you close your eyes and imagine New Orleans you are imagining this hotel. The boutique rooms face into a beautiful courtyard with a water fountain. Amazing level of service from all the staff. So friendly and accommodating. Location - couldn't be more perfect. You're right in the heart of the French Quarter. Walking distance to Bourbon Street, and Jackson Square. You can take the trolley anywhere. I can't imagine coming to NOLA and not staying at this hotel.

Aug. 15, 2016 : Great old style hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. They do it right. Rooms are nice sized and comfortable. There are swimming pools and courtyards to chill out in. They have a gated parking area which is locked after 11 pm with an attendant who lets in guests. The Ice House Bar is just off the lobby, which serves free coffee and tea every morning. Next door is Angeline, which serves excellent food (try the boudin and egg on grits with red-eye gravy for breakfast). Just around the corner is Croissant d'Or, perhaps the best patisserie in NOLA. A few blocks away is Frenchmen Street, where you can find a vast number of musical choices in the many clubs and restaurants. Many other excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Aug. 15, 2016 : My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and loved it! The location, staff and history of the hotel gave us a true taste of New Orleans! The room was quaint and had a wonderful courtyard view. The bartender was amazing - had stories of the hotel and New Orleans from a local! Walking to the nearby art galleries, Jackson Square and Bourbon Street was a breeze! We will definitely make this our go to place whenever we are in New Orleans! For dinner you must go to Court of Two was superb with a great atmosphere!

Aug. 10, 2016 : We were there in June and one of our favorite stays ever. Cannot wait to return .
