Jan. 21, 2016 : Great hotel. Staff was great. Ice House Bar was like your neighbor hood bar. Pool and court yard were great, and little seating areas outside. About 2 blocks from Burbon Street and the French Market will stay here again. You will love it here.
Jan. 19, 2016 : My teenage daughter and myself had a room overlooking the courtyard. I loved hearing the sound of the fountain outside our room; very soothing. The room was comfortable with nice amenities, such as a lighted make-up mirror and ironing board and iron. We had two comfortable double beds. The location was great; walking distance to all of the French Quarter, yet far enough away from the craziness for a respite when needed.
Jan. 18, 2016 : Just got back from our first trip to NOLA - and the hotel was great! It wasn't PERFECT (could use bigger bath towels, and maybe some sort of pastries in the morning - plus fresh milk opposed to half and half) - but it was pretty close. Our room (218) was very roomy and clean. It faced the front of the building, and the noise of trucks going by in the morning was a bit loud - but not terrible. The building is in great proximity of area highlights...so walking is not an issue. When you hear 'blocks' don't panic - the blocks in the French Quarter are small! The staff was friendly and courteous - and most importantly, HELPFUL! Etienne (sorry if I spelled it wrong), the bartender was awesome! We enjoyed his stories and hospitality very much! They truly do have the best Hurricanes and Bloody Mary's at the hotel bar (but we wished they were open longer hours). Courtyard and pool areas were beautiful. Suggestion - since it was rather chilly while we were there, maybe some propane heaters in the courtyard? We would absolutely recommend this property - and we'd absolutely stay here again. THANK YOU
Jan. 18, 2016 : Some things never change, we first came to Hotel Provincial in 1984 and loved it! Stayed there again this week and it was even better. It's clean and well maintained with a friendly staff. Close to the French Market and great restaurants. You must try Irene's restaurant just a few doors down.
Jan. 15, 2016 : My husband and I have stayed at Hotel Provencial a handful of times and are smitten with the personality of this place. The room was old/historic and beautiful! This past stay was eventful bc they were filming Tom Cruise's new film coming out in the fall of 2016 just down the street. The hotel is walking distance to all of the shops/sights of the French Quarter. Angeline is a nice restaurant at the hotel and very convenient!
Jan. 15, 2016 : Great Hotel located right in the French Quarter. Easy walking distance to Bourbon Street, The French Market, Plenty of great restaurants nearby. We never drove anywhere the whole during our stay. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Valet service was great and they actually park your car right on the property so you can access it if you need to. Overall we had an awesome stay and we will be back!
Jan. 13, 2016 : great hotel in the best location in the French quarter, 3 blocks from bourbon st, 5 short blocks to Frenchman st, around the corner from the French market. 3 blocks from the square . what else to say ,, they have and outdoor pool, bar , clean rooms , nice staff ,,, comfy beds
Jan. 12, 2016 : The check in was a breeze. The valet service was great. Felt very safe. Would reccomend it to everyone. The rooms were clean and the bedding was great.
Jan. 12, 2016 : I loved my stay, a little worried at first about the ghost stories. I didn't have any unwanted guests Lol. Nice historical hotel real New Orleans vibe. Staff was great especially the bellman Dee he was very friendly and upbeat. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Jan. 11, 2016 : Great place to stay right in the heart of the French Quarter. Easy walk to Jackson Square and the waterfront. Never had to move the car. Rooms are nice, staff very accommodating, and ours fronted on a beautiful fountain courtyard. Highly recommend.
Jan. 8, 2016 : It was fabulous!! We will definitely stay there again!!
Jan. 8, 2016 : You can't beat the location for access to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. The rooms are top notch! Very clean and comfortable! The staff is outstanding!
Jan. 7, 2016 : In June of 2015 group of 12 Harleys took a road trip to New Orleans . While searching for a hotel I came across several options for the French Quarters/Bourbon Street area. I was not sure which hotel to go with. Based on the reviews and the great location I chose the Hotel Provincial. Let me tell you we were NOT DISAPPOINTED! We love love love this place! I worked with Margie and Erika beginning in November of 2014 to get all the rooms we needed reserved. We stayed in building 5. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished. Four of the rooms we were in all have windows that open to one big balcony that over looks DeCauter St. That was PERFECT for us. We would all sit out there and have coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. It was a great place for us to hang out and make plans for the day. Also great for people watching! It is within walking distance of Bourbon St, just around the corner from shopping on Decauter St and The French Market. You can also see the river from the rooms facing Decauter St. The on site Ice House Bar was AWESOME. Great drinks and our bartender was fabulous! They even set aside a section of the parking lot away from the cars for all of our bikes. We were allowed to split the parking fee for multiple bikes. I honestly can't say enough good about Hotel Provincial! When (not if) we go back we will most definitely stay there! Thank you for a most amazing stay! PS..... stay away from the "VooDoo" drink at Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop! It will turn you into a ZOMBIE!!!
Jan. 5, 2016 : We had a great stay, and the hotel was just a short walk from Jackson Square and other points of interest. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Jan. 4, 2016 : We stayed 2 nights in this delightful hotel and would stay again if our travels take us back to New Orleans. The rooms were very nice, the courtyard was charming, the valet was such a nice guy, the location ideal (close to everything, but far enough away to be quiet). Would definitely recommend!
