We’re excited to announce award-winning Chef Alex Harrell will be opening his new restaurant, Angeline, inside Hotel Provincial, in the Chartres Street space! This will be a perfect place for locals and guests to can come in, enjoy a glass of wine and share great conversation over a delicious appetizer or meal.
The restaurant, named after Harrell’s mother, will fit right in at Hotel Provincial with its relaxed Southern charm where people feel comfortable. He echoed those sentiments to the Times-Picayune, “I want it to be friendly and inviting. Those are things that I associate with my mother."
Influenced by both Harrell’s Southern background and his love for Italian and Spanish cuisine, the unique dishes will offer a unique flair that will fit perfectly inside of our charming French Quarter hotel.
It’s been Harrell’s dream to open his own place and we’re thrilled to help him accomplish that dream. Harrell is an accomplished chef with years of experience including playing an instrumental role in the opening of French Quarter bistro Sylvain.
Harrell said he fell in love the Chartres Street space for several reasons, including our amazing kitchen, which has been recently renovated.
Angeline is set to open in early 2015.
