What's New

April showers bring May flowers, and man, the flowers are in full bloom in New Orleans right now. With beautiful weather and something happening every weekend, it’s a great time to be in The Big Easy.

We’re expecting to see a lot of people Memorial Day weekend, and as always, there’s a great event happening in town. The 41st annual New Orleans Greek Festival is taking place May 23 – May 25 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

In the mid-1800s, a large number of Greeks immigrated here, bringing storied traditions and culture along with them. To honor that culture, residents and visitors will be offered traditional Greek food, dance to Greek music, and browse through Greek paintings, jewelry and other souvenirs from local artists.

The best part is that it’s only $5 for adults and free for kids under the age of 12.  There’s even a free shuttle service and off-site parking available!

If you’re coming to New Orleans the last weekend of May, then you’re still in luck; the New Orleans Oyster Festival takes place May 30 – June 1 this year. However you like your oysters – raw, chargrilled, fried, in a po-boy or as a Rockefeller – you’ll be able to enjoy that and a whole lot more at this fun annual event. Admission is free, live music will be playing, and an oyster shucking contest will be had. What else could you ask for from a festival that focuses on one of New Orleans’ favorite sea creatures?

We still have rooms available for both weekends, so it’s not too late to plan a trip. Both festivals are a lot of fun, and our concierge would be happy to help you plan other things to do while you’re here.

Make a reservation online or call us to schedule your beginning of the summer fun!
