Oct. 17, 2018 : I had been to New Orleans once before for a short conference and we didn't get to stay in the French Quarter. When my friend and I decided to go for 5 days, I knew I must stay in the Quarter. I found Hotel Provincial, which had great reviews and seemed centrally located. When we got there, the hotel did not disappoint. It's located on Chartres and St. Phillip. It is only a few blocks from Decatur Street as well. It was about a 15 minute walk to get to Canal Street. We could be to Bourbon in 5 minutes, Cafe Du Monde in about 7. It was a great location. There was almost no noise at night, which I can't even imagine what it's like to be closer to Bourbon Street. The hotel is rumored to be haunted and each night we would see the walking tours standing in front of the hotel telling the tales. We never had any ghostly encounters and we did stay in the building that is supposed to be the most haunted. The hotel has an excellent bar, with a daily happy hour and man o man do they make some good drinks. The hurricane will knock you on your butt, but it's delicious and a great price! I had my first Pimm's Cup there and continued to drink them throughout the trip. There is an amazing courtyard which is shaded with a tinkling fountain that was my favorite spot to enjoy my morning coffee or nightly cocktail. Our room was clean and the AC worked wonderfully which was a nice break from the sweltering humidity outside. Our housekeeper had issues getting us the right amount of wash clothes each day, but they would always get us some if we asked for them. The hotel kept our baggage on the day we checked out since we had a late flight, which was very helpful of them. I would totally stay here again
Oct. 8, 2018 : I Loved this Hotel. We were there for a wedding and everything went just as planned. The room was perfect, the staff and employees were very helpful and kind. The church that the wedding was held at was a 2 minute walk, literally. :) I would definitely stay there again.
Oct. 2, 2018 : Wonderful hotel, friendly staff, excellent location... It has a very good feel to it.
Oct. 1, 2018 : I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel a week ago. I originally booked this property on the totally positive reviews I read. Not one of them were wrong! This beautiful hotel is set in the French Quarter and is a wonderful, historic property. You immediately feel the historic ambiance before you enter with the gas lanterns set on either side of the door. When you step into the lobby you can feel the old-world charm in the chandelier on the ceiling, the black and white marble floor and carved wood of the check-in desk. There is a delightful courtyard in the back with a gurgling fountain, which provides a beautiful drop-back for a photo. Our room was in building 5 in the back, and again, that old world feeling is there throughout. While the room was a tad on the small size, it made up for itself in the décor. Gorgeous large padded headboards were on the very comfortable beds which were fitted with lovely linens. The marble bathroom was updated and lovely and complete with hairdryer and iron and ironing board. The gold framed mirror hung above the desk continued to add to the historic flavor and charm of this truly wonderful hotel. And, while they do not have a restaurant they do offer a small bar with a happy hour every day. Stop in and order a Hurricane. They are the best! Additionally, the staff was totally friendly, professional and very helpful and accommodating. I truly believe selecting this hotel for a stay will add so much to your trip to New Orleans! It certainly did for us
Sep. 26, 2018 : For us 1st time in New Orleans. Loved the whole area. The whole experience. So much history, been telling everyone how great a trip it was. Thanks
Sep. 18, 2018 : We've stayed at Hotel Provincial at least 2-3 times a year for 28 years now. It's a beautiful historic hotel located in the best part of the French Quarters. One can easily walk to anywhere in the Quarter from Hotel Provincial. We love that we are treated like family. The rooms are always clean and service is top notch. Plus they have the best Spicy Bloody Mary's in New Orleans. Highly recommend Hotel Provincial to all our family and friends.

Sep. 17, 2018 : more then we expected-this quaint hotel is a gem-would definetely stay there again
Sep. 12, 2018 : This hotel is in a fantastic location! Less than a 5 minute walk to Jackson square and 10 minutes from the French quarter and Cafe du monde!! The walk from the hotel up to Jackson Square passes by some lovely shops! The rooms are lovely, very clean and have great aircon! The hotel is very safe and there is someone at the door 24 hours. The staff are very helpful and friendly! The bar in the hotel does excellent cocktails!! Would highly recommend staying here!! I would definitely return.
Sep. 2, 2018 : I stayed here for a week in july with my husband and our 2 kids and we had such an amazing time. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and most importantly cool and comfortable. The best part was playing hide and seek with the kids. With the multi-building layout and the new combined with the old structure made for a great “haunted” hide and seek game. When I booked our room I accidentally booked it a night short so the morning we were supposed to check out they called our room. When I explained the reservation was supposed to be through tomorrow, the hotel staff was accommodating and added an extra night for us, (even when it appeared that hotel was booked solid.) I would 100% recommend this hotel.

Aug. 21, 2018 : I just want to say that We LOVED your Hotel.. What a fantastic place to stay for a NOLA adventure. Your location to explore and experience the Heart of New Orleans cannot be beat. You can walk any where and be there in a short time. Oh and just to stand there on Chartes street and look to Jackson Square how Grand is that. Your staff should were all, each of them the most helpful, kind, caring, courteous staff I believe I have ever met under one hotel roof. We do travel too so I can say this. We were helped with directions, had excursions booked, given advice on restaurants and so much more. I honestly felt that they cared that we had a great experience. Beyond a 10 is what I give them all. Your rooms, we stayed in 542 and I loved it. I saw the Big Muddy from my window and of course the French Market. Oh and it was so clean and fresh. Bed was comfortable and welcoming after a day of adventure in the Big Easy. You had every amenity a traveler could want. Love the safe in the room for pool time. Yes we loved your pools. We spent some nice relaxing time at the small courtyard pool, too lovely. I am a history buff and loved the fact that this was a restored Civil War hospital. It is restored wonderfully but I could still have the feel of days gone by. Love your place and hope that the travel gods will be good to us so we can be with you all in New Orleans again. No doubt too as to where we would stay. Thank you for making our stay so FANTASTIC. Barbara Kaushakis
