Don't Miss New Orleans in the Fall

September 20 2012 | News

New Orleans in the fallSeptember means cooler weather in New Orleans, which translates to a fantastic time to tour the French Quarter! Of course, by cooler weather, we mean temperatures in the 70s and 80s, so you won’t need those sweaters just yet.

With the worst heat of summer past us, visitors can expect to see even more outdoor events popping up in the area. Outdoor dining is the most popular seat for your morning café au lait and beignets or evening red beans and rice. (Be sure to stick around for the bread pudding!)

Of course, if the weather is cooling off, then Halloween must be just around the corner. New Orleans has been named on several top 10 lists for the best cities in the U.S. for Halloween, not just because of our weather but also because of our celebrations. Whether you want to come down for the Voodoo Music Festival or to enjoy the fantastic costumes and festivities of Halloween, you’ll certainly have a great experience! The city even offers family friendly experiences for those with kids at events like Boo at the Zoo.

If you feel like trying something a little different this Halloween, get over to New Orleans and have a great time!
