Drink it in with Tales of the Cocktail

Jul 08,2013 | News

Legend has it that New Orleans is the birthplace of the first cocktail – a Sazerac mixed by a pharmacist named Antoine Amadee Peychaud in the early 19th century.  If true, it’s only fitting that New Orleans host the international cocktail event geared towards cocktail professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Tales of the Cocktail brings together the most respected names in mixology for a five day celebration of cocktails, cuisine and culture. Starting July 17 and going all the way to July 21, there will be five days of mixing competitions, cocktail tastings, dinners, seminars and field trips to local distilleries. Professionals can network, and enthusiasts can pick the brains of mixologists from all over the world.

Basically, if talking about and trying cocktails gets you excited, then you belong here.

All Tales of the Cocktail events take place in the French Quarter, so Hotel Provincial is the perfect place to stay during the event. Between tastings and dinner, you can take a short walk back to your hotel and relax in one of the beautiful courtyards, or take a dip in the pool.

Now is also a great time to stay with us because we’re offering special summer rates to all travelers. With rooms starting at just $89 a night, you can spend all the money you saved by staying with us on other things you’d like to do around town – like going to The New Orleans Bare Knuckle Bar Fight.

Check availability and make a reservation, or feel free to call us at (504) 581-4995. We’d be happy to talk to you about our special summer pricing and help you book the perfect room.
