Four Ways to Celebrate September in NOLA

Most of the time, we're not into social media holidays, but we'll make an exception for September. Who could pass up International Bacon Day, World Beard Day, or International Talk Like A Pirate Day? 1. Southern Decadence Festival, Labor Day Weekend

Southern Decadence is held annually in New Orleans over Labor Day. More than 160,000 LGBTQ travelers and their friends come down for parades, pool parties, gay history walking tours, drag shows and general revelry. 

2. Saint's Opener, Sept. 10

The Saints will take on the Tennesee Titans in the Dome on Sunday, September 10. Don your black and gold and come join the fun.

3. Beignet Fest, Sept. 23

Leave your donuts in the dust and join us for a celebration of the beignet in New Orleans City Park. Along with all the beignets you could possibly down, there's live music. 

4. National Fried Chicken Festival, Sept. 30-Oct. 1

Follow the chicken across the road to the New Orleans Lakefront for National Fried Chicken Festival. Whether you like nuggets, tenders or on the bone, you'll love this festival to pieces.
