Getaway to New Orleans in September

September 8 2015 | News

It’s always a great time to visit New Orleans, but September is one of my favorite months to be in the Big Easy. The temperatures slowly start to cool, the crowds don’t return until the holidays, but there is still a lot to see and do! Plus, Hotel Provincial has rooms available for this month!

New Orleans in SeptemberEnjoy the French Quarter the way it’s meant to be enjoyed, by foot. Hotel Provincial is conveniently located within walking distance of the most popular historic attractions, best boutique shopping and many of the premier New Orleans restaurants. If that isn’t enough to convince you to look into a getaway to the French Quarter, take a look at these upcoming events.

New Orleans Saints Football

There's nothing like being in the Big Easy during Saints season.

If you’re thinking about coming into town for a game, stop thinking about it and make it happen. There’s nothing like watching a Saints game in the Superdome. The atmosphere is festive in and outside of the stadium, plus there isn’t a bad seat in the stadium.

If you’re a fellow local, enjoy a weekend staycation in the French Quarter and enjoy the festivities in the Quarter before and after the game, without having to worry about driving home afterwards.

We Live To Eat Restaurant Week

I love exploring New Orleans’ restaurants, We Live To Eat Restaurant Week (September 14-20) makes that even easier with discounted menus. Restaurants involved in this culinary celebration include French Quarter favorites like Antoine’s, Arnaud’s, Café Giovanni, Kingfish, Muriel’s Jackson Square, Red Fish Grill and many more. Two course lunches cost $20 or less, three course dinners are $35 or less.

Whether you’re coming for a weekend getaway or a week long much needed vacation, we look forward to making your visit a special one.
