New Year’s Eve in New Orleans
The holidays are in full swing here at Hotel Provincial! The decorations are up and the holiday cheer is in the air.
I know that everyone is thinking about Christmas plans, and their Christmas shopping, but now is the time to think about New Year’s Eve if you’re thinking about coming down to New Orleans for this exciting time, now is the time to turn those plans into reality.
Think of this as a friendly reminder, we only have a few rooms left, so if you’re on the fence, don’t wait long to make your reservations.
New Year’s Eve in New Orleans is an unforgettable event. There is so much going on, that you’ll have memories for a lifetime.
My favorite part of the New Year’s Eve celebration is the Reveillon dinners. These are traditional New Orleans dinners, influenced by the Creole culture that dates back to the 1850’s. They’re rich, indulgent and extremely delicious meals served at restaurants across the Quarter. You’ll leave feeling full, but ready to continue the joyous celebration.
There are celebrations happening all over the city that night, there’s masked balls, private parties and much more. My favorite place to be at midnight is in front of Jackson Square, along the levy. Every year, there’s live music, the countdown, followed by fireworks over the Mississippi River. Not just any fireworks either, it’s two firework shows, shot from dueling barges.
Not to mention all of the festivities and fun happening throughout the French Quarter that night.
We look forward to you staying with us for New Year’s.
