Ring in the New Year, cheer at the Sugar Bowl, or do both!

December 8 2015 | News

There’s no better place to ring in the New Year than New Orleans. Think about the ball drop in New York City, but with a lot more music, food and New Orleans personality.

This year’s Sugar Bowl, which will be New Year’s Day, will be a one for the books. The Ole Miss Rebels will battle the Oklahoma St. Cowboys in a can’t miss showdown between the SEC and Big 12.

Since the game is so close to New Year’s Eve, we suggest coming early and kicking off 2016 New Orleans style! The Crescent City Countdown is a huge celebration across New Orleans. There will be stages set up with live music, a unique fleur de lis drop hosted by the Mayor, and midnight fireworks over the Mississippi, which is choreographed to soulful New Orleans music.

Hotel Provincial is the perfect place to stay during these events. Since we’re in the middle of the French Quarter, both the New Year’s Eve events and the Sugar Bowl are within walking distance. You can stay, eat, sleep, drink, watch football, celebrate and ring in the new year all without having to move your car.

We still have a few rooms available for New Year’s Eve and the Sugar Bowl. This is a popular time to stay in the city though, so if you’re thinking about making a trip down for either event, then the time to book is now.

You can search for and book a room on our website, or give us a call at (504) 581-4995 to speak with one of staff members about availability.

We can’t wait to see you!
