Everywhere you look in the French Quarter is filled with holiday spirit. Decorations of garland and festive lights line the historic streets. Holiday music fills the air and every night it seems there’s another Christmas concert. An annual favorite, the caroling in Jackson Square is just around the corner. And of course the food! Of course, I have to mention the delicious Reveillon meals being served at restaurants all over the Quarter!

If you’re headed down here for the holiday season, you’re in store for a special treat. If you don’t have plans to visit this year, I would start making them for next year’s holiday season now.

Right after Christmas, there’s two exciting dates to look forward to! First is New Year’s Eve, there’s so much to do from festive parties to the fireworks over Jackson Square it’s going to be jovial evening of celebration! Two days later, on January 2nd college football fans fill the city for the Sugar Bowl. This year promises to be one of the best match-ups in a while!
