Your April Thrill List

April 1 2023 | News

Get out there and explore New Orleans in April when the weather is balmy and the musicians are hot (the crawfish, too). Here are five great reasons to reserve your room at Hotel Provincial in April.

1. Line up for the Adelphi Crescent City Classic – April 8

Why stop at the bunny hop this Easter? Start training now for the Adelphi Crescent City Classic, 6.2 miles of fun. Register here.

2. Put a bonnet on it – April 9

There are three Easter parades in the French Quarter on Sunday: the Historic French Quarter Easter Parade,  the French Quarter Easter Parade and the Gay Easter Parade. Hop on down to the parade route for the fun! There will also be a Meet the Bunny at the River Jazz Brunch Cruise aboard the Riverboat City of New Orleans. Learn more.

3. Rock out at French Quarter Fest – April 11-14

French Quarter Festival offers 20 music stages throughout the French Quarter and features local artists playing jazz, New Orleans Funk, Zydeco, Cajun, brass band music, and gospel. Best of all, the festival is free! Make sure you stop by the French Market Traditional Jazz Stage to see Tom Saunders and the Hotcats, sponsored by Hotel Provincial on Friday, April 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn more.

4. Swing over to the Zurich Classic – April 17-23

Every year, the Zurich Classic, a leg of the PGA Tour, is played at the TPC of Louisiana, just 15 miles from downtown New Orleans. Since it’s New Orleans, you can expect food as great as the golf. Learn more.

5. Go Jazz Festin’ – Last weekend in April/First weekend in May

This fest is one of the highlights of life in the Big Easy. Come experience the legendary food, art and music (and not always in that order). Here's your chance to see big international stars along with all your favorite Louisiana performers. Learn more and see the complete Jazz Fest 2023 lineup.
